Biography

Gootch started out back in 2005. Their line-up hasn't changed much since then and neither has their style: straightforward rock 'n roll, served in a hard, loud and tight manner. It's not surprising that bands such as AC/DC, Hermano, Motörhead, Danko Jones, Velvet Revolver, Queens of the Stone Age, Wolfmother, Kyuss, ... are listed as their greatest infuences.

Each member of the band brings a different element to the table and mixed together, the combination is explosive. Joost is the crazy frontman who's entertainment skills are virtually unmatchable. Tom and Jason form the robust rythm-section that grooves like hell. And Laurent and John handle their guitars as if they were playing since the first day they were born (and we honestly think that's really the case).

If you've ever had the chance of checking them out live, you'd agree that they really shift into overdrive. There's always something happening on stage and they have an awesome time playing together. The chemistry is real and genuine, something you don't see too often these days. It's most unlikely that you would ever get bored during a Gootch-show, that would be like trying to stand still during a 8.5 earthquake ...

The past year, the band has been working hard on their first album 'Dirtbag: volume 1'. They finally succeeded in capturing the sound and vibe they create live. 11 songs were recorded at Music Farm in Ghent with Serge Hertoge and Peter Debosschere as producers. Mixing and mastering was done by Peter Bulkens, also at Music Farm.

Gootch is proud to announce that the album will be released under the wings of Apache Productions.
